Vehicle Description:
It's hard to believe that this old yellow Bronco
was restored in the late 90's. The only signs
that suggest the 9K miles since restoration are
correct, is a minor bit of wear on the driver's
seat bolster, two chips on the exterior, and a
few on the doors where the seat belts made contact.
On the undercarriage, there is an authentic 9,200
mile patina that suggests it was driven sparingly,
and on dry streets. This vehicle was never abused.
Please read the description and see the photos.
If you would like to see anything that I didn't
photograph, just ask.

The quality of the
restoration on this vehicle is better than any
I've seen on a Bronco, and it's really held up
well. The paint is incredible, very shiny, no
swirls, as is the chrome, aluminum, and interior.
It's been sleeping in our warehouse, up on a lift,
under a cover since I bought it in early 2010.
We put about 2,000 miles on it since then. The
previous owner, a dear friend and customer, owned
it for a decade before me, and bought it from
the people who carried out the restoration.

Here are some Bronco
highlights: Built January, 1973 Comes with a complete
restoration photo-book. 302 V-8, rebuilt under
10K miles ago, and believed to be original to
the vehicle. Original 2BBL carb is included, a
new high performance Holley 2BBL is currently
in use. Bronco runs extremely strong, sounds fantastic,
and doesn't disappoint.

C-4 Automatic 3-speed
Transmission (column shifted) Power disc brakes
up front. Power Steering Warn Hubs and 4X4 works
perfectly (I've never driven this off road, or
even down a wet road.) Original exhaust manifolds
are included, however, ceramic-coated headers
are in use. Dual exhaust professionally done,
flawless installation, both tips exit behind the
rear wheels at the same spot, and level. James
Duff 3.5" Suspension System, smooth ride, perfect
height.

This Bronco came
with the 7-gallon aux-fuel tank mounted outside
of the frame, driver's side. That auxiliary tank
was drained, and removed from service. The rear
main 13-gallon fuel cell was replaced with a 23-gallon
poweder-coated unit from Tom's Bronco Parts. Family
Style Roll Cage, powder coated and bolted through
floor, to frame. Top has not been off except to
install the roll cage. Air Conditioning may need
recharging. I've never used it. Radio Delete,
and the dash remains uncut. Stereo system installed
in armrest/ security chest between front seats.
Bolted to seat bolts with brackets, no holes drilled.
Dual Optima Batteries Brand new wiring harness
installed, $5,000, less than 100 miles ago.

Wheels from a 1996
Bronco were media blasted, then polished to high
luster. All five of the 31X10.50 - 15" BF Goodrich
All-Terrains have 95+% tread remaining. Under
the hood is clean enough to eat off. Undercarriage
is clean enough to eat off. Floor is the thick
rubber from Tom's Bronco Parts. Headliner board
is perfect, no flaws. The passenger window crank
has a crack in the plastic. Seats are in fair
condition, but have had butts in them. You will
want to replace the driver's bottom seat if you
want a flawless interior. There are two chips
on the front of the Bronco, one below the hood,
the other to the right of the left headlight.
Both are photographed. The top is in excellent
condition. There is no deferred maintenance on
this vehicle. Pump the pedal to the floor three
times, turn the key, and this Ford starts. Every
time, regardless of temperature. Every. Time.
There are no bugs to work out. Gremlin free.

If you want a new,
in the wrapper Bronco, check out the Icon Bronco
for $150 - $195K. If you are good with a beater,
or a highly modified 4wheeling beast, they are
on eBay all day long for under $30K. However,
if you are looking for a truly special Bronco,
appreciated literally by everyone who sees it,
still uncut (rear fenders not cut out, and plastic
inserted,) tastefully restored and mildly improved
from stock, this might be THE ONE.

Why are we selling?
We now have three kids, 6, 4, and 1.5yrs. We had
two kid seats permanently belted into the back
of this vehicle since the day we bought it. We
are a family of 5, and just bought a low-mile
last-model Bronco. Three kids fit across the back
seat, and we even drive it in the snow....as it's
not perfect, like the 73. While the photos tell
much, there are details that are worth explaining.
The stock carburetor hated moving from California
to Colorado. The exhaust manifolds and single
exhaust didn't help at altitude. Thin air up here,
and it needed to breathe, and it needed more fuel.
We took the Bronco to Jay's Carb Shop, and with
the swap out of the carb, headers, and exhaust,
the horsepower went from about 100 at the rear
wheels, to over 190HP. Check them out here: thecarburetorshop.net.

We started a car
care product business just over 15 years ago.
